Company history

Actonomy was created in January 2001 by professionals from both the business and the academic community. The company is focussing on extending the core decision technology as originally developed in co-operation with several research institutes. To date, the company is privately held.

Important milestones :

  • September 2001 : release of the first version of the technology and signing up a major US computer manufacturer as a customer.
  • January 2003 : first capital increase with external private investors.
  • August 2003 : release of new xMP matching/searching framework.
  • March 2004 : scalable xMP supporting 10 Mio matches/sec.
  • January 2007 : launch of the first ontology knowledge base to boost matching processes.
  • October 2007 : Launch of the first Resume DNA Extraction system.
