xMP HRM Content
The xMPH HRM Content is the central knowledge database of the xMP platform. It is a highly structured semantic knowledge network, also known as an ontology. With well over 100,000 basic concepts (including job titles, competencies, skills, educational levels, and other information categories), it is one of the largest single HRM knowledge databases in the industry. It is capable of generating millions of complex HRM concepts and even offers multilingual support. xMP HRM Content has been developed in English, French, Dutch, German, and Spanish, allowing easy and native cross-laguage search functionality. The database can easily support additional languages as required.
Why do you need HRM Content?
Finding the right candidate for the right job has become more and more challenging over the last few years. The causes are many: an ever-changing business environment, tighter deadlines, global structures that demand many languages, and (last but not least) more job titles and functional descriptions, as well as a diversification of education, skills, and competencies.
The number of job titles and vacancies has exploded in recent years, but at the same time become less transparent. Job seekers cannot easily find their way through the complex maze of job offers, and recruiters face the same problem from the other direction. For both parties, understanding which terms and concepts match which skill and competencies has become a real challenge.
HRM Content was especially created to help fight this confusion. Actonomy has created a huge, centralized database consisting of HR-related terms such as competencies, skills, educations, and function titles. The various terms are linked to each other in 'smart' ways: for instance, the system knows that Java is an object-oriented programming language (otherwise known as OOP). You no longer need to know the connections yourself; the xMP HRM Content will automatically store, update, and retrieve the various related concept and terms as needed.

How xMP HRM Content Works
On the one hand, xMP HRM Content offers the functionality of a dictionary. On the other hand, it gives the possibility to group words or concepts which stand in a certain relation to each other or which belong in a certain category. To give a concrete example: if you search for Sales Functions, the system will automatically find functions like Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Executive and many others.
HRM Content relates concepts and words with other concepts and words. Using the 'Sales Functions' example: the knowledge, skills or competencies related to sales functions (knowledge of languages, experience in the B-to-B market, communication skills, etc.) will also be recognised by the ontology, thus enabling recruiters to narrow down the search and more easily find which candidate would fit a vacancy (or which vacancy would fit the candidate).
The xMP HRM Content covers a tremendous amount of data: functions are divided into more than 350 function groups, more than 100 sectors are represented, the database includes more than 100,000 terms and concepts (which can in turn trigger up to millions of related concepts), and the content is multilingual: the main languages of the European Union are represented, and basically any other language can be supported.
It goes without saying that this database needs continuous control, adaptation, elimination, and addition of skills, competences, function titles, and knowledge. Our trained IT and language specialists keep the database up-to-date and continually improve the data in order to ensure a faster and smarter fit!
